PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient and general-purpose recording apparatus, by forming the same so as to be capable of performing double-surface printing according to necessity by altering a printing control means. CONSTITUTION:The titled apparatus is formed so that a sheet (of which the first surface corresponding to an even number page is printed) directly after fed from a paper feed part 1-1 and a sheet (of which the second surface corresponding to an odd number page is printed) having gone around a conveying loop containing a reversal mechanism 1-10 alternately pass a drum 1-3. On the other hand, when an odd number M-surface comes after the first surface of a certain sheet arrives the position of the drum 1-3, the second surface of said sheet is allowed to again return to the position of the drum 1-3. In order to realize the order of accurate and continuous page printing, memories are alternately fabricated on ring shaped page buffer 3-4 in such a form that an even number page group advances in the phase thereof over M-pages from an odd number page group. When the page buffer number of the page buffer 3-4 is brought to an even number 2M, because M is an odd number, the even number page and the odd number page can be alternately printed and double-surface printing is accurately performed. |
