The invention relates to a proximity switch in which at least one coil (2, 4) is arranged in a bridge circuit. The bridge circuit is designed in such a manner that it is preferably tuned after installation in a housing (17), taking into consideration the metal of the housing (17) or other metal in the vicinity of the housing (17).
