In a mixing apparatus for concrete-mixing machines with a drum-shaped mixing trough, in which at least one mixing shaft is mounted horizontally, which has two worm bands which are coiled in opposite directions and are continuous in one piece, with a helical surface which is directed perpendicularly to the trough tangent and has a corresponding pitch, the worm bands being designed as support coils with plane part surfaces which are angled in relation to one another, and wear means being fixed positively and displaceably on the delivery side, the wear means for each worm band (support coil) are constituted by a one-piece elastic strip. The wear forces acting on the wear means and the mixing trough wall can thus be reduced. <IMAGE>
