PURPOSE:To provide the titled solid feed having high cellulose content and excellent palatability to ruminant, and effective to prevent the insufficient fermentation in the rumen of a ruminant, by compounding corn cob and/or bagasse as a roughage to a concentrate. CONSTITUTION:Corn cob (cob left after the harvest of corn grains) and/or bagasse (residue left after squeezing sugar cane to obtain sugar juice) are cut to about 0.5-30mm. in length (longer the better) and used as roughage. Concretely, (A) 90-60wt% of concentrate (mixture of roughly crushed corn, roughly crushed barley, defatted rice bran, vitamins, etc.) is mixed with (B) 10-40wt% of the above roughage, and the mixture is formed to pellets having an average particle diameter of about 1-5mm. to obtain the objective solid feed for ruminant. |
