The object of the unit is to use heavy oil instead of light oil for boilers and/or diesel engines. It can be adapted for the preheating of heavy oil in light fuel systems especially for boilers and/or diesel engines, thermally insulated with a preheater controlled by the thermostat and an upstream flow control valve in the fuel feed line, and the fuel return line to the flow control valve of the preheater enables the unit to achieve the object of thus obtaining a significant saving in the preheating of heavy oil and reducing the weight of the preheating installation and/or thermal insulation.
