The invention relates to a housing on sporting and hunting firearms, which is designed for guiding a cylindrical breech equipped with the locking beads. The object of the invention is to solve the continuous guidance of the breech in the housing, whilst preserving the unavoidably necessary smallest possible technologically workable wall thickness of the housing. According to the invention, the longitudinal groove of the housing, said longitudinal groove being interrupted by a loading orifice, is equipped in its lower part with a longitudinal guide projection engaging into the breech recess formed in the locking bead of the breech.
