PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy in estimation of a billet temp. prior to charging to a recuperative furnace by calculating the average sectional temp. of the billet moving from a start point for casting up to a cutting point at every specified time and determining the average temp. of the billet after cutting from the calculated value. CONSTITUTION:An average sectional temp. is calculated by the equation I at every specified unit length with a charging temp. as the initial value of the average sectional temp. right after casting of a billet cast in a casting mold. Here, Tn= the calculated value deg.C of the average sectional temp. of this time, Tn-1= the calculated value deg.C of the average sectional temp. of the previous time, DELTAT= the temp. falling rate deg.C from the time when the temp. is calculated in the previous time until the time when the temp. is calculated this time, the average sectional temp. Tn of the equation I is obtd. by determining the temp. of the molten steel in the stage of starting casting as an initial value, subtracting the temp. falling rate DELTAT generated within the time DELTAt when the temp. is calculated from said initial value and calculating the average sectional temp. at the point of said time. The average sectional temp. at every specified unit is averaged and the temp. over the entire part of the cut billet is estimated. |
