In a process for the connection of joints, especially material blanks for water-sport suits, for the permanently sealed connection of the joints these are firmly connected to one another flush by means of an adhesive introduced in the common parting plane of the joints and by means of a seam formed on the inside and/or outside, a plastic adhesive layer is applied at least on one side to the mutually assigned edge strips or joints, a plastic layer applied on one side to a carrier-fabric tape is covered over the plastic adhesive layer, and thereafter the two layers are welded to one another by high frequency.
