CORROSION PREVENTIVE COATING METHOD

PURPOSE:To form a strong and tough film having excellent corrosion preventiveness by spray coating a compsn. contg. glass flakes consisting essentially of a specific epoxy resin modified unsatd. polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. epoxy resin modified unsatd. polyester obtd. by bonding an unsatd. polyester having an allyl ether group and carboxyl group to an epoxy group in a bifunctional bisphenol A type epoxy resin or bonding further an arcylic acid or methacrylic acid thereto and 10-70pts.wt. glass flakes having 0.5-10mu thickness and 100-400mu size are compounded. A suitable amt. of ketone peroxide and hydroperoxide or peroxyester is further added thereto to arrange parallel the glass flakes in the paint coated film. The resultant compsn. is sprayed to 300-1,500mu paint coated film thickness by a spray gun having 0.5- 3mm. spray tip size.
