The application relates to central electronics for processing and reproducing a large number of information items via a multi-functional display unit. A microprocessor is provided to which a memory chip is connected for receiving the nondestructively storable data. Furthermore, the microprocessor is connected to an input chip via which variable input signals are interrogated, some of the input signals being connected in a multiplex mode to separate output lines for analogue and digital signals. An LC display which is connected to the microprocessor via universal series/parallel drive chips, is provided for reproducing the signals.
