A used combustor liner (20) for a gas turbine engine is restored to its original dimensions by mechanical reforming wherein the part is selectively heated at two circumferencial locations by an induction coil (64). When fuel nozzle support rings (34) are replaced as well, the reforming precedes the ring welding operation and compensates for the distortion which accompanies welding. |
