PURPOSE:To alleviate the di/dt duty of a GTO by connecting the condenser side of a diode of a snubber of a positive/negative arm element through two diodes, thereby discharging the condenser through a reactor. CONSTITUTION:A snubber 6U has a snubber condenser 61u and a snubber diode 62u connected in series with the condenser, and is connected in parallel with a GTO1U. A snubber 6X has a snubber condenser 61x and a snubber diode 62x connected in series with the condenser, and is connected in parallel with a GTO1X. The anode side of the snubber diode 62u of the snubber 6U and the cathode side of the snubber diode 62x of the snubber 6X are connected through diodes 7U, 7X. A current transformer 8 is coupled to the diodes 7U, 7X. Charges of the condensers 61u, 61x are discharged through reactors 2U, 2X. |
