PURPOSE:To adjust the tuning of a resonator by rotating the case and thus shorten the time of adustment by a method wherein the magnetic shielded case of an atomic resonator part is made cylinder type, and the tuning movable end plate of a hollow resonator is installed to one side of the case, and the main body of the resonator to the other side. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic shielded case 8 of the atomic resonator part 11 of a gas cell type atomic oscillator is cylinder type consisting of one side 8a and the other side 8b. The tuning movable end plate 7 of the hollow resonator 4 of this oscillator is installed to the other side 8b of the case 8 via heat insulator 9. The main body of the resonator 4 is installed to one side 8a of the case 8 via heat insulator 9, reflection mirror 2, and heat insulator 9. Further, a resonant cell 5 and a photo detetor 6 are installed to said plate 7, and a heater 15 mounted in the outer periphery of the resonator 4, thus keeping the resonator 4 and the cell 5 at a fixed temperature. Said plate 7 is displaced with respect to the main body of the resonator 4 by relative rotation between one side 8a and the other side 8b of the case 8, resulting in easy adjustment of the resonance frequency of the resonator 4. |
