The invention relates to the arrangement of a bimetal element on a viscose fan coupling. In order to increase the adjustment travel of a bimetal element, it is proposed to arrange the essentially rectangular bimetal element so that it can swivel about an axis which runs approximately in the longitudinal direction of the bimetal element, an adjustable support being arranged on the one side of the axis in the area of maximum deflection of the bimetal element and the connection to the valve in the fan coupling being arranged on the other side of the swivel axis.
