PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of injection of carriers to an electrostatic charge transfer layer and to enhance sensitivity, etc. by forming a charge generating layer contg. copper phthalocyanine chloride, bromide or cyanide on a conductive substrate, and laminating the charge transfer layer on this layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating layer is formed by vapor depositing copper phthalocyanine chloride, bromide, or cyanide on a conductive substrate. A charge transfer layer is formed on this layer by using polyvinylcarbazole or a charge transfer complex as a charge transfer substance to obtain a laminate type electrophotographic sensitive body. As a result, a substance higher in ionization energy than the charge transfer substance to enhance efficiency of injection of charge to the charge transfer layer, and the stable charge transfer substance comparatively low in ionization energy is used, and therefore, photosensitivity can be enhanced and induction phenomenon can be reduced. |
