PURPOSE:To easily move a cursor in the direction of a diagonal line, by installing a means which detects simultaneous depression of two different kinds of cursor moving keys and transfers the key codes by repeating to a main body side. CONSTITUTION:A case where a cursor displayed at the left side upper corner of a CRT display device 10 is moved to the right side lower corner is considered herewith. When the rightward and downward cursor moving keys of a keyboard section 210 are simultaneously depressed, a key code corresponding to the rightward cursor moving key, and then, another key code corresponding to the downward cursor moving key successively appear on a return line at one time of key scanning cycle. These key codes are successively stored in a buffer in a keyboard controller KBC 220 and, when they are correct codes, they are stored in another buffer and, at the same time, repeate processing is performed on them. The KBC 220 successively transfers the code data stored in the buffer to a terminal body 30. As a result, the 1st key code, 2nd key code, and repeate code are successively transferred and the cursor alternately and continuously moves in the direction of the diagonal line.
