PURPOSE:To prevent a coloring material contained in a coloring material layer from being transferred into a base to reach other transfer material and enhance preservability, by a method wherein a cellophane provided with a high molecular weight compound composition on at least one side thereof is used as a baser for a transfer material for thermal recording. CONSTITUTION:A composition 3, 4 comprising a thermoplastic high molecular weight compound or a curable resin, preferably a high molecular weight compound such as an oligoacrylate or a light-curable resin such as an epoxy resin accompanied by an aromatic diazonium salt catalyst, having a thermal deformation temperature or a load bending temperature of not lower than 90 deg.C, is applied to at least one side of cellophane 1 to obtain a base, and a coloring material layer 2 comprising a known coloring material, a binder or the like is provided on the base. The layer of the high molecular weight compound composition may be provided on the coloring material layer 2 side or on the other side, and may be provided on both sides of cellophane. |
