发明名称 GEL TYPE LEAD-ACID BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To make possible to penetrate silicic anhydride fine powder into pores of granules by using granules obtained by granulating dilute sulfuric acid and lead powder as positive active material in a clad type lead-acid battery using gel electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:100ml of dilute sulfuric acid with sp.gr. 1.20 is added to 1kg of lead powder having an oxidation degree of 70% and they are granuled with a granulating machine to form granules. The granules are filled in a tube to form a clad type plate. Gel type electrolyte comprising dilute sulfuric acid with sp.gr. 1.28 containing 10wt% silicic anhydride is used to form a clad type lead- acid battery. Because silicic anhydride fine powder penetrates relatively large pores between granules and its concentration is uniform, pushing out of dilute sulfuric acid by gas evolved during charging is decreased and diffusion of electrolyte is increased to improve battery performance.
