The warp yarn break signalling unit is partic. intended for selvedge yarns in a weaving loom provided with a transverse yarn break monitoring rider bar comprising a U-section outer electrode insulated from an inner electrode strip therein. - It comprises two inverted U-shaped elements in insulating material which can be clipped over the bar any any point and are connected via an insualting strip extending over the electrode. This strip carries an electrode on its upper surface which is engaged by a metal rider element, normally resting on a yarn, when this yarn breaks. The rider then makes contact between the electrodes to energise a warning light or the like independent of the normal signalling system for other warp yarn breaks. - UE - SE - Warp yarn break monitor for weaving loom.
