PURPOSE:To attain simple and stable erasing for a short time by forming a draft port and a discharge port which are connected to a gap between recording layers having air sandwich structure to feed solvent steam from the blast port, and after making the solvent stream contact with the surface of the recording layers, discharging the steam from the discharge port. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd optical recording parts 21, 22 have the 1st and 2nd recording layers 41, 42 on the 1st and 2nd substrates 31, 32 respectively. The recording layers consist of only a light absorbing body or the components of the light absorbing body. The light absorbing body to be used is usually a coloring matter. The optical recording parts 21, 22 are united through a coupling member 5 and a gap 8 is formed between the recording layers 41, 42. One or more draft port 6 and discharge ports 7 which are connected to the gap 8 are formed in the coupling member 5. After completing writing operation, the solvent steam is fed from the draft port 6. The solvent steam passes through the gap 8, contacts with the surfaces of both the recording layers 41, 41 to smooth the surfaces and then is discharged from the discharge port 7. Thus, the feeding of the solvent steam makes it possible to smooth the surfaces of both the recording layers and erase the records. |
