PURPOSE:To improve SN ratio at the recording time and the positioning accuracy of a magnetic head by obtaining servo information by a servo signal reproducing transducer in a magnetic head slider to position a data recording/reproducing transducer. CONSTITUTION:A transducer 126 records/reproduces data and a transducer 128 or 132 reproduces exclusively the servo information. Recording data are sent to a selecting circuit 113 through a recording amplifier 121 and then sent to one required magnetic head out of magnetic heads 106-111. On the other hand, data information to be reproduced is sent from one selected magnetic head out of the magnetic head 106-111 to a reproducing amplifier 16 through a magnetic head selecting circuit 113 and then sent through a filter 119. Servo signal reproducing transducers 128, 132 detect a servo signal on a magnetic disc. The servo signal is sent to a low pass filter 123 through a magnetic head selecting circuit 113 and a reproducing amplifier 122 and used as the servo signal of the transducers. |
