PURPOSE:To form a highly insulating film with superior rust resistance by adding an acid to an alcohol soln. contg. a specified amount of ethyl silicate, coating the resulting soln. on the surface of an amorphous alloy, and drying it. CONSTITUTION:An acid is added to an alcohol soln. conth. 0.05-10 vol.% ethyl silicate, and the resulting soln. is coated on the surface of an amorphous alloy and dried at <= about 450 deg.C. A lower alcohol such as ethanol or methanol is used as said alcohol, and HCl, H2SO4, acetic acid or the like is added as said acid. The building factor of the amorphous alloy can be improved.
