PURPOSE:To make the work easy by starting a logging means and initial program loading simultaneously and logging error information, which is obtained by diagnosing the initial state of hardware, in an auxiliary storage device after storing this information in a message area. CONSTITUTION:A main storage device 2 has a logging area and the message area on a control storage CS and a main storage MS. An initial diagnosis executing means 11 and a logging means 12 are started simultaneously by the control of a CPU1. If error information exists as the result the initial diagnosis, it is logged on the control storage CS automatically. Next, a program in a software level is operated to move logged information from the control storage CS to the main storage MS, and this information is logged on disc devices 4 and 5. Thus, detailed error information is logged in a high speed without increasing the burden of a programmer. By this system, fine maintenance is possible. |
