The opto-electronic indicator is used to monitor resultant movement with position alteration in a screen of a component (M) motivated by an external process, and comprises a transmitter (1) and a receiver (2) connected to an output. The controllable screen at least partially prevents radiation from the transmitter (1) reaching the receiver (2). - In the area reached by the radiation from the transmitter (1) which is unaffected by the screen (3) a further receiver (4), dependent upon received radiation, produces a signal to a power supply source to the transmitter regulator (5). This regulator is connected to a reference signal indicator delivering constant signals, and when there is deviation between the signal received from the second receiver (4) and the reference signal it regulates the power supply to the transmitter (1) determining the radiation strength to a predetermined level.
