PURPOSE:To prevent a misoperation for input of amount and to shorten the processing time by displaying immediately and directly the key input including ''1,000'' and ''10,000'' while the keys excepting the yen display key are operated and then feeding an input amount in Arabic numerals after the input of yen. CONSTITUTION:A key encoding circuit KEC codes the input signals supplied with operations of a ten-key, a 1,000-key and a 10,000-key before a yen display key is operated and then stores these coded signals in an input key encoding set buffer ISB. Then these signals are displayed immediately and directly to a display DSP. With operation of the yen display key, a memory ROM delivers the signals of ''1,000'' and ''10,000'' after rearranging these signals to Arabic numerals in relation to their preceding and following signals. Thus the input amounts are displayed after conversion into Arabic numerals. When the ROM output is sent to a display buffer BF, a clear signal to be applied to the buffer ISB is delivered from the circuit KEC to clear the contents of said buffer.
