PURPOSE:To prevent the picture quality from being deteriorated because of flaw and dust or the like by converting a signal of an object image being out of focus into a signal being in focused state by a focus correcting circuit in a camera system using an image pickup element. CONSTITUTION:The object image 12'' of the object 12 being out of focus is formed on an image pickup plane 13a by moving relatively a lens system 11 to the image pickup plane 13a of the image pickup element 13. Then, a photoelectric converting output corresponding to the object image 12'' is applied to a picture element output generator 18 from the image pickup element 13 and stored in a frame memory 181, a 1H delay line 182 and a bit delay line 183 and applied to a matrix circuit 16. The matrix circuit 16 corrects the focus of the photoelectric converting output at each picture element based on plural outputs applied from an oscillator 17, an output of the image pickup element 13, and plural picture element outputs from the picture element output generator 18 and the corrected output is processed into an electric signal required for the forming of picture. |
