PURPOSE:To eliminate an undesired input by measuring the moving speed of an input point after sampling at a fixed cycle a position coordinate delivered from a pressure- sensitive position coordinate detector and then deciding the undesired input from the variation of the moving speed of the measured input point. CONSTITUTION:The speed and the acceleration have the maximum value respectively with a normal input of an operator since the writing is manually done. However the change of position coordinates due to the simultaneous push of many input points owing to the using ways of hands, etc. is decided by the response characteristics of an electric circuit and has an extremely high speed. Therefore an undesired input is decided and deleted when a speed or a speed change that is never produced with a normal input is detected. In other words, the distance d12 between two continuous sampling points P1 and P2 is obtained. If this obtained distance value is larger than the value dTH which is previously set as the maximum speed, the input points at and after the point P2 are decided as an undesired input. Then no position coordinate signal is delivered until a writing tool is detached once from an input surface. While the force velocity between continuous two points is obtained in the case of three sampling points P10, P20 and P30, and an undesired input is decided if the acceleration is extreme.
