PURPOSE:To enable a customer to perform a cash transaction at his/her home, etc. by using a terminal controller which records an amount to a transaction card based on the communication with a bank and produces a cash substitute card. CONSTITUTION:A customer gets previously plural transactin cards from a bank A and sets the card to a terminal controller 2. The data recorded on the transaction card is read by a card reader 21 and stored in a memory 26. Then the customer feeds a desired amount, and this input data is set to the memory 26. A CPU20 reads the data of the memory 26 and edits a telegram for payment request to send the telegram to a bank side transaction processor 1. When a telegram showing the payment is possible is sent from the bank side, the bank number, the security code, the amount and the collation code are recorded to the card. Then the card is sent back to the customer as a cash substitute card. |
