PURPOSE:The titled apparatus capable of reusing a washing liquid by defoaming the same within a short time, constituted so as to move the liquid level in a defoaming tank for receiving the washing liquid and discharging the same in an up-and-down direction by connecting an air bubble resistance pipe opened to the atmosphere at one end thereof to the lid hermetically closing said defoaming tank. CONSTITUTION:In a defoaming apparatus 12 constituted by connecting a water receiving tank 12 having an oblique screen 2 and a defoaming tank 3 provided above and below a support frame body 1 by an inflow pipe 4 opened to the bottom part in the defoaming tank 3, the defoaming tank 3 is hermetically closed by a lid 10 and an air bubble resistant pipe 11 opened to the atmosphere in the tank of a bottle washing tank (not shown in the drawing) is connected thereto. When the washing liquid containing a solid substance such as a label used in the bottle washing tank is supplied to the upper part of the above mentioned oblique screen 2, it falls in the water receiving tank 12 to be flowed into the defoaming tank 12 through an inflow pipe 4 while the solid substance is slid on the oblique surface to be dropped into a receiving basket 8. The washing liquid foamed in the defoaming tank 3 is defoamed by compressing air bubbles by the up-and-down movement of the liquid level and the defoamed washing liquid is reused while being sent to the bottle washing machine from a water discharge pipe 5.
