OPTICAL FIBER AIRTIGHT FIXATION STRUCTURE OF FEEDTHROUGH FOR OPTICAL SUBMARINE REPEATER

PURPOSE:To obtain high reliability by charging metal with a low fusion point between the circumference of the clad of each optical fiber and a groove formed between a fiber guide and a sealing sleeve. CONSTITUTION:The coating of an optical fiber 7 is removed at a part 17. This fiber part 17 is inserted and arranged in a fiber through hole 34 formed between the fiber guide 15 and metallic sleeve 9 fitted around it. One terminal of the fiber through hole 34 is worked into a groove 37 between the fiber guide 15 and metallic sleeve 9, and this groove 37 is a solder fitting part 10. The fiber 17 is sealed by soldering at the solder sealing part 10, but in this case, solder is built up conically at the circumference of each fiber from the solder sealing part 10 to a part 12 as shown in a figure.
