PURPOSE:To intensively express the effects of an acute angle and ruggedness to an embossed pattern substrate, by applying undercoat paint onto the entire embossed surface of the embossed pattern substrate, and then further applying paint onto embossed protuberant parts only. CONSTITUTION:High-viscosity paint 2 having a solid part in an amount of 50- 90% and viscosity of 30-300PS free from coarse aggregates of 0.3mm. or more in size is applied as an undercoat onto the entire embossed surface of an embossed pattern substrate 1 by a direct roll coater. Then, the same high-viscosity paint 2 is built-up applied onto only protruberant parts in the embossed pattern by a direct or reverse roll coater. The embossed top parts after being temporally dried under this condition or without being dried is made flat by a roll press or the like and then dried. Thereafter, flat paint 3 is uniformly applied as a finish coat to obtain a product.
