The building element (5) is made up from tiles, previously arranged in a group, esp. for laying on floors. These (2) are interconnected by foils (7), pieces of network or strips, made of removable self-adhesive material. This material is pref. removable by hand, and may be transparent or opaque. The tiles can have completely clear bottom surfaces. They can have integral spacers, thinner than themselves, protruding at the bottom edges of their peripheries; or use can be made of inserted separate T-shaped or cruciform spacers.
