PURPOSE:To realize adjustment of opening period of an air intake valve by driving a locker arm by means of two cam shafts capable of relative adjustment of a rotatory position. CONSTITUTION:One end of a locker arm 5 is driven by means of a cam 2, while the other end is driven by means of a cam 7. One of cam shafts 1, 6 equipped with cams 2, 7 is provided with a means relatively adjusting a rotatory phase. Since an air intake valve 8 opens an air intake port when at least one of two cams 2, 7 is lifted, opening period of the air intake valve is adjusted by operating an adjustment means of a rotatory phase. Accordingly, the appropriate opening period is selected according to the operational condition of an engine. |
