PURPOSE:To reduce the rising oil level by providing a suction gas passage between the outer periphery of a motor and a frame and inverting the suction gas introduced into a motor chamber upward near the lower end of the frame to separate the oil. CONSTITUTION:The suction gas introduced into a motor chamber 19 passes downward through a passage 29 and is inverted in a demister 30 and is sucked into a suction chamber through a passage 26. Therefore, the flow quantity of the suction gas hitting an oil sump 23 is small and the flow speed is also small, thereby the oil is hardly scattered when being hit, and even if part of the oil scattered due to the rotation of a crank shaft 14 is carried away by the suction gas, the oil is deposited to the demister 30 and separated when the gas passes through the demister 30.
