PURPOSE:To cause ignition and instantaneous absorption to be well timed and to improve ignition performance, by a method wherein ignition, cleaning of a pilot flame nozzle, and the ON and OFF operation of an instantaneous attracting circuit are performed through control of a single control shaft. CONSTITUTION:With an ignition knob shaft 1 turned conter-clockwise, gas flows from a cock to an auxiliary pilot 2, and spark is filed from a piezo-electric igniting device to an ignition plug 3 for ignition to form an auxiliary pilot flame. Gas flows to a passage 4a leading to a pilot flame burner 4, and ignition of the pilot flame burner 4 by means of the flame of the auxiliary pilot 2 causes ignition of pilot flame. During control of ignition, a cleaning needle 7, interposed in a pilot flame nozzle 6a, is moved out downward from a nozzle hole 6b along the curve of an inner cam 5a, being an inner groove in a cam body 5, as the cam body 5, joined integrally with the ignition knob shaft 1, is turned. Conversely, with the ignition knob shaft 1 turned clockwise, a cock, not shown, closes the gas passage 4a, and a pilot flame cleaning device 6, which removes dust, wherewith the nozzle hole 6b is choked, to the outside with the cleaning needle 7 interposed in the pilot flame nozzle 6a, is operated in linkage therewith. |
