PURPOSE:To improve the energy efficiency by mainly operating an engine refrigerator continuously to utilize the engine waste heat while operating a direct- burning absorption refrigerator subordinately. CONSTITUTION:A compressor 1 for an engine refrigerator having a condenser 2 and evaporator 4 is driven by an engine 7 while the waste heat of engine 7 is recovered as hot water through an engine cooling water heatexchanger 8 and an exhaust gas heatexchanger 9 and fed to a regenerator of an absorption refrigerator 11. Cold water produced by said evaporator 4 and refrigerator 11 is used for air-conditioning. Rotary speed of engine refrigerator is controlled by a cold water thermo 20 such that the cooling water temperature will be constant (7 deg.C). If it will not reach to the setting temperature even after reaching to the upper limit speed, the upper limit speed of engine 7 is fixed to open a fuel solenoid valve 16 of said refrigerator 11 through its signal thus to start direct-burning operation. |
