The invention relates to a device for marking numbers, numerals or signs of different shapes by means of points. It consists of a bed 1 having an adhesive portion 2 in which is an aperture 3 through which one or more stencils 4 are inserted to bring them in front of a window which reveals the stencil characters to be etched or marked 5 before they are fixed by means of a locking screw 6. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the etching of numbers, numerals or signs for references on equipment. <IMAGE>
