The invention relates to a method for volumetric handling of fluids (liquids or gases) and the implementation thereof, which method is characterised in that it consists in making, inside the pipe or channel 2 intended for sampling the fluid 1a in question a capacity whose volume exactly corresponds to the volume to be handled by blocking, at the desired location, this pipe or channel by means of a semi-permeable membrane 4, the polarity of the constituent material of which is opposite to that of the fluid, and therefore opposes the passage of the latter, and in creating suction and delivery phenomena of this fluid using a fluid 6 which is immiscible with the first and of the same polarity as that of the said membrane, which is therefore capable of passing through the latter. <IMAGE>
