PURPOSE:A cataplasm with heat generation, heating a medicine by oxidation heat of iron, having increased remedying effect on inflammation, etc., obtained by combining a sheet medicine having a water-containing adhesive with a heating medium prepared by packing a mixture of iron powder and an acid salt of metal into an air-permeable and water-permeable bag. CONSTITUTION:A medicine obtained by applying the release papers 2 and 3 to both sides of the sheet medicine 1 prepared by blending an active ingredient of the medicine with a water-containing adhesive and other components, processing the blend into a sheet, is combined with the heating medium 4 prepared by packing a mixture consisting essentially iron powder and an acid salt of metal (especially preferably hydrochloride or nitrate of alkali metal) into an air-permeable and water-permeable bag 5, to give the titled cataplasm. When it is used, the release paper 2 is removed, the heating medium 4 is bonded to the adhesive face of the medicine 1, the release paper 3 is eliminated, and the cataplasm is applied to the affected part. Water in the medicine 1 is permeated into the bag 5 of the heating medium 4, air is fed through the surface of the bag 5 to it, oxidation reaction of iron powder is started, and heat is generated. The heat is transferred to the medicine 1, and remedying effect is enlarged by the action of the heated medicine 1.
