Title compds. I(R1=cyano, C1-4 alkoxycarbonyl, carbamoyl N-substituted carbamoyl, Ph, substituted phenyl; R2=H, C1-4 alkyl; R3=C1-4 alkyl; Y=H,Cl,methoxy; Z=C2-4 linear or branched sat. aliphatic hydrocarbon) used as anodyne, were prepd. from II and III(X=halogen). Thus, 22g 4-phenyl-1(2H)-isoquinolone and 30g anh. K2CO3 in 100ml DMF were stirred for 2hrs at 120oC. 18g 3-N-N-dimethylaminopropylchloride was added and stirred at 100oC for 3hrs. After remove solvent, CH2Cl2 and H2O were added. Remove solvent and recrystalization in ligroin gave 23g 2-(3-N,N-dimethylaminopropyl)-4-phenyl-1(2H)-isoquinolone. (m.p. 95oC)
