A method for compensating for the influence of the temperature of a heating supply medium on a radiator thermostatic valve, in which the actuating movement of the valve per DEG C is determined on the basis of the volume and of the coefficient of expansion of the expansion sensor of the thermostatic valve, and an adjustment in the opposite direction is produced via a compensation drive, the magnitude of this adjustment being determined from the volume of the compensation drive and its coefficient of expansion.
