Piping distributors for central heating systems are to be produced in such a way that it is not until after the first step of loosely joining previously folded sheet metal profiles (21, 22, 23) in an angular fashion or similar in accordance with the desired box shape that a plurality of profiles (21, 22, 23) are simultaneously welded to one another at the longitudinal edges of the profiles by means of a single weld (L) in each case. At the same time, it is provided in this case for as far as possible all pipe connecting pieces (24, 25) to be mounted on the pipe distributor by creating corresponding neckings (26, 27) in the outer and end-face profile parts (21, 22). <IMAGE>
