Two gas burners arranged next to one another, from which heating pipes extend to the tongue tips, an ignition device and a combustion-air blower are mounted on the sleepers and provided with a sheet-metal covering which is designed as a separate covering box with side walls for each gas burner, the outer side walls each lying at a distance from the points tongues which makes possible the work of track-tamping tools or the like, and the heating pipes being guided through these side walls to the points tongues.
