In order to make a flow meter with suspended bodies, having a measuring tube which tapers conically from top to bottom and in which a suspended body is arranged, suitable for flow measurement in either direction of flow, two measuring tube sections 2, 3, arranged vertically one above the other, tapering from top to bottom and each containing a suspended body 4, 5 are assigned to the measuring tube 1. A connecting pipe 6 is attached between the two measuring tube sections 2, 3, and a connecting pipe 7 is attached below the lower measuring tube section 3. The upper end 9 of the upper measuring tube section 3 is connected via a tubular piece 8 to the lower connection pipe 7. In addition, a sealing seat 10, 11 for the suspended bodies 4, 5 is arranged at the lower end of each of the conically tapered measuring tube sections 2, 3. The flow meter with suspended bodies can optionally be fed either via the connecting pipe 6 or via the connecting pipe 7. In one case the upper measuring tube section 3 is used for measurement, and in the other case the lower measuring tube section 2 is used. <IMAGE>
