Pivotable mounting of a chassis (2) carrying all the essential components of a telephone subscriber station with the lower housing part (1) of this station. The chassis (2) is intended to be mounted in an easily repairable fashion on the lower housing part (1) for the purposes of maintenance or conversion/installation work. For this purpose, the chassis (2) has pins (3) forming a pivot axis which engage in longitudinal holes (4) provided in webs on the lower housing part (1). Wedge-shaped projections (8) are furthermore disposed in the area of the pins (3) at the free ends of resilient tabs (7), which projections come to lie on the webs (5) when the chassis (2) is in the pivoted position.
