By means of the known windscreen wipers in motor vehicles, a clear view through the front window and rear window is made possible only in that area which is touched by the wiper blades. The other areas retain a film of dirt which cannot be seen through. The monotonous swinging backwards and forwards of the wiper blades causes - in particular on relatively long journeys - a visual nervous stressing of the vehicle driver and increases his fatigue. By virtue of the precipitation-deflector system, compressed air is produced with the aid of a compressor which is coupled to the vehicle motor. The said compressed air causes the amount of precipitation to be repelled and deflected, shortly before it strikes, over the entire surface of the front window and rear window using the effect of the relative wind.
