The explosion turbine engine is a prime mover with only rotating functional parts. It is intended to be an alternative to the conventional reciprocating piston engines, because crankshaft, connecting rods and other engine parts functioning in reverse directions are omitted. This solution presents itself especially for all vehicles which cannot be driven using gas or steam turbines of conventional type. The present invention is intended, by very simple means, to considerably reduce the manufacturing costs by using all commercially available units such as generator and ignition mechanism, starter, clutch and transmission, carburettor, oil and water cooling systems and commercially available exhaust systems. The difficulties hitherto with vehicle turbines or reaction engines for road vehicles were the deficient braking in overrun cut-off or downhill running. It is intended to solve this problem by means of the charging chamber which has a build-up effect when the diaphragm valve is closed. For a subsequent development a regenerative brake is a possibility as has long been usual in rail vehicles. Particular attention should be drawn to the good environmental safety. The use of ceramic elements for combustion tubes, control plates and housing parts offers a solution. In addition the use of the exhaust gases for additional supercharging (turbocharger) suggests itself in this context.
