The invention relates to a flotation cell for the froth flotation treatment of fine-grained materials, in which the dense medium, gas-treated before admission and conditioned by the addition of organic or inorganic flotation agents, carries out predetermined movements in the flotation vessel as a result of the admission directions of the feed elements. The constant development of flotation plants shows clearly that no satisfactory solution to the problems occurring in this process has yet been found. According to the invention, existing inadequacies are overcome and the flotation process is optimised by increasing the specific throughput and the separation efficiency by the gas-introduction devices (6) being arranged in the feed elements (7), the gas introduction proceeding from the outside to the inside into the dense medium and the feed elements (7) being arranged so as to be able to pivot in the vertical and/or lateral direction in the admission direction of the gas-treated dense medium.
