Method for regulating the output signal of a semiconductor laser
摘要
The invention relates to method for regulating the output signal of a semiconductor laser by means of pilot-tone superimposition and is characterised in that this is brought about using different amplitudes and in antiphase with the modulation current and the bias current, in such a manner that the upper and lower envelopes of the output signal have identical pilot-tone amplitudes, and in such a manner that the modulation current and the superimposed antiphase pilot current are increased in magnitude when an excessive in-phase pilot component is identified and are reduced in magnitude when an excessive antiphase pilot-tone component is identified. The method according to the invention offers the advantage at the receiving end that the so-called high-impedance preamplifiers cannot be overdriven by low-frequency pilot components.
