In order to cover the drip 1 of a wooden window or of a wooden door, at least two supports 3 are screwed onto the drip at a distance from one another. Each of these supports 3 has on its side facing the glass 2 a clamping nose 5 and on its part 7 overlapping the vertical part 6 of the drip 1 a slot 8 which is provided with an undercut 9. A protective profile 10 is equipped with a web 11 running parallel to the slots 8, which engages behind the undercut 9 with a nose 12. A projection 13 interacts with the clamping noses 5.
